This is my favourite birthday cake recipe! It's pure whole wheat flour and dark chocolate based! Try this yummy treat for any special occasions.

Honey benefits:

Ingredients:
1 cake mix (order from Didi)
1 chocolate chip pack
3/4-1 cup honey
1/4 cup milk (almond or any preference)
1/4 cup oil
2 egg whites
2 tsp. vanilla essence
1 cup boiled water
Method:
Beat/Wisk wet ingredients together without water. Combine the wet and dry ingredients and lightly mix together (add wet to dry). Add boiling water last to the mixture. Add half of the chocolate chips to the mix and fold in.
Using a baking dish of choice (depending on shape, about 9 inch) add the mixture. It may fit in a large and small if you want that layered appearance. Bake for about 30-40 minutes at 350 degrees F or until you see tiny air pockets or it leaves the edges of the pan and raises. Remove and allow to cool.
Melt the other half in some water (about 1/8-1/4 cup) for the top of the cake. Spread and cover when cake is baked and cooled. Slice and enjoy.
